Zbiroh Castle

One of the oldest and misterious castles in Bohemia from the 13th century. During its millenium history a secret was hovering over Zbiroh castle. The meaning of the name is collecting horns as one of the monks of a nearby cloister came across a cemetry of raindeers and found many horns there. It is called the castle of three emperors as it belonged to Charles IV, Sigismund, Rudolf II. Painter Alfons Mucha lived in the castle and made his famous cycle of paintings, the so called Slavic epopy. During WWII the castle was a headquarters of Nazi SS troops. A known center of free masons. The excursion includes a visit of the castle and dinner at the medieval background. Joustings, inquisition courts, gothic music, belly dancers, fakiers.
